God will send you the help you need

Sometimes, it can feel like you’re walking by yourself aimlessly, trying to figure things out. And every fiber of your being is crying out, Lord, I need some help!

Well, my friend, if  you need God to show up in your situation, this your word.  He has good plans to show up and give you everything you need to make it.

Watch and see.

My son, Kedar, and daughter, Kaiah, were scheduled to take aptitude tests this week. Leading up to the examination dates, they buckled down and studied hard.

Kaiah was somewhat nervous. However, Kedar, was particularly uneasy about one of two assessments and felt overwhelmed. Though he had more than enough knowledge to rise to the occasion, he didn’t feel that way.

Readiness is not a feeling. You can be a hundred percent ready for something while experiencing tenseness and nervousness and hearing negative voices.

Thankfully, Kedar and Kaiah passed and were happy about it.

Their educational journeys remind me of my high school and early college years. I never enjoyed taking tests, because I doubted my ability to pass. It didn’t matter how many hours I’d previously devoted to my studies. On test day, I would be a wreck, convinced of my inevitable failure.

Have you ever felt that way when taking test – not just natural tests but spiritual ones, too? I’m sure you have, because in God’s Kingdom, He tests us, whether we think we’re ready or not.

In these moments, persistent pessimistic voices of doubt proclaim, You will definitely fail. Insecurity piles on and says, You’re not good enough. Then fear shows up and asserts, Who do you think you are? You are a fool to believe that this will work in your favor!

But, if you listen closely enough, a still, small voice will penetrate the noise and make a bold declaration: “Fear not, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

That voice, those words, my friend, are from God. In fact, He spoke these words in Isaiah 41:10, a passage I dearly love.  In this verse, the word help is a Hebrew word, ʿāzar, meaning to surround, protect, aid, and succour—which sounds just like sucker—but means something totally different.

Succour, in the context of Scripture, means: to run to in order to support; to deliver from suffering; to relieve in moments of difficulty; and assist in times of hardship and distress.

God is a succour for you!

He loves you so much that in your time of distress and trouble, He rushes to your side to bring you the support you need to keep you from collapsing.

There is a pressing need you have. God knows that. And He is sending confirmation through this word that He will send you exactly what you need! Trust Him wholeheartedly.

That Hebrew word, ʿāzar, also shows up in Psalm 28:7, a song of David. He said, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.”

When you trust, God helps.

When you pray, He responds. When you call, He answers. When you go through a test and get sucker-punched by trials, God is a succour for you. He rushes alongside to help you so the weapon formed against you won’t prosper.

In Isaiah 41, which we touched on moments ago, God was using the prophet Isaiah, the son of Amoz—who ministered to Judah in and around Jerusalem during the reigns of four different kings—to encourage, comfort, and reassure them.

Isaiah conveyed God’s message that essentially said, if you put your trust in the Lord  and not those old worthless idols without power to change anything, you will see God’s supernatural power at work. You will witness His mighty hand of help outstretched in your favor.

I believe God sent me for the one who is facing an uphill battle, feeling intimidated by an assignment, or is under attack in any way, shape or form.

Whether the attack is on your health, finances, family, career, business, ministry, your mind, emotions, or spirit—there’s a prophetic word with which I’m sweetening your cup of inspiration.

Today, I’m stirring in Isaiah 41:27 NLT, which says, “I was the first to tell Zion, ‘Look! Help is on the way!’ I will send Jerusalem a messenger with good news.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, this is a word of divine confirmation. God has good news for you: help is on the way!

Strength is on the way. Provision is on the way. Healing is on the way. More power is on the way. Wisdom is on the way. Restoration is on the way. A greater opportunity is on the way. Breakthrough is on the way.

Why? Because God, who is a succour for you, delights in blessing you and making you a blessing.

Now, pray this prayer with me.

God, thank You for promising and confirming that according to Psalm 46:1, You are a very present help in my time of need. Please give me the grace to know that I have no need to be intimidated by any challenge I face, because You will always rush to assist me and have already guaranteed the victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you desire prayer, please allow me, along with my intercessory prayer team, to stand in faith with you for breakthrough. We would be so honored. We have seen God work over and over again. There is power in agreement. Click here to request prayer now.
