Here's why God will bless you with more

I woke up this morning and made a cup of coffee. I added organic coconut milk creamer, collagen powder, MCT oil, and I sweetened it with Stevia—an all-natural sweetener. It’s my go-to Keto coffee recipe, and it gives me amazing energy.

Do you have a morning routine? Something you like to eat or drink every day too? I make the same cup of coffee each morning, and I never get tired of it. I also have a shot of apple cider vinegar and lemon water in the morning because they’re good for my digestion.

I’m a pretty simple girl. I can eat and drink the same things (just about) every day and be fine with that. And it’s not that I’m against trying new things, I just prefer having a routine. I don’t know if you’re that way or not, but the children of Israel weren’t. They were upset about having to eat the same thing every day in the wilderness (Numbers 11:4-20).

I’ve mentioned to you many times before that the Israelites were fed with manna—bread God rained from Heaven. Even though manna sufficiently kept their hunger at bay, they wanted something more exciting and pleasing to the palette. In Egypt, where they were formerly slaves, the cuisine was incredible. When Israel wasn’t being abused by cruel slave masters, they indulged in fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. Yum!

Their memories of much grander meals made manna, though miraculous, seem boring to them. They expressed this in verse 6, saying, “We have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!”

They despised their present miracle because they idealized the past and felt like they had lost something. They were stuck looking behind them when they should have been looking ahead to where God was taking them. Even so, God gave Israel quail to satisfy their craving for meat, but He was sorely displeased and angry with them. So He also struck them with a plague, causing some of the Israelites to die in a place called Kibroth Hattaavah, which means “grave of craving.”

Friend, gratefulness is buried in the grave of craving, and contentment dies where dissatisfaction lives. When we get stuck in the past and fail to see the present miracles and believe for future ones, we miss out on blessings. When we behave like petulant children and throw temper tantrums instead of throwing our hands up in praise, we cut ourselves off from receiving more from the Lord.

The key to receiving abundant blessings from the Lord is obedience, faith, and gratitude. So keep following God’s leading, trusting Him and remaining thankful in all things, and you’ll receive all God has for you!

Even in the New Testament, the Jews didn’t learn their lesson. They treated Jesus Christ, who revealed Himself as bread from Heaven (John 6:51), with commonality and contempt too. They rejected the physical and spiritual manifestation of manna and refused to receive the long-awaited Messiah.

Thankfully, you have not made this error. You have gladly received the Bread of Life. Because of this, you now have life, and you have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus, the life-giving Bread, rewards your faith in Him and will bless you with more! He will supply your needs, heal your diseases, intervene in your circumstances and work negative situations out in your favor.

You, unlike those who rejected Christ, have accepted the One who died a criminal’s death on an old, rugged cross and rose with all power. Therefore, God will increase you and shower you with His goodness. And through this word, He is confirming for you that He has taken notice and loves how you have praised Him for manna in the wilderness while believing for your Promised Land. Your faith has pleased the Lord, and it has positioned you to receive more. Get ready!

To remind you of the importance of your faith, I’m stirring Hebrews 11:6 GNT into your cup of inspiration, which says, “No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, know that you have rewards coming because you have diligently sought the Lord and placed your hope in Him.

Now, let’s pray.

God, I have been through some very trying situations, and everything has not always turned out the way I hoped it would. But I thank You for always providing for me and taking care of me in the midst of my storm. No matter what it looks like, I trust You and will forever praise You for Your goodness in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you desire prayer, please allow me, along with my intercessory prayer team, to stand in faith with you for breakthrough. We would be so honored. We have seen God work over and over again. There is power in agreement. Click here to request prayer now.
